We have ADS 7.1 running on a Windows 2003 Standard Server, client app is
delphi based. We run the latest version of Veritas backup, have the server
agents properly installed. When running backups we get every file on network
EXCEPT .ad? files which are open due to nightly processes.. We get every
other open file on the server no problems and use the Veritas agent for SQL
Server to back up or sql databases.. Anyone ever run into this problem or
have any suggestions?? The backup doesn't do me much good unless we can get
the ad? files.. I know 8.0 has a online backup option and yes I can write a
service to dump the files via copy nightly but a cleaner solution would be
preferable..

Thanks,
Marc

If the files are in use you need a special open-files license of your
backup software.
