Hi,

I still have a problem to get back the identity in the master datawindow to
fill in the detail datawindow. Would you please kindly help ?

I am using PB10.2 (Build 8050) and SQL2kSP3.

Hi Roywong,

I apologize for the late reply.

According to the code description in your message on newsgroup, we built a
simple test case. We could not reproduce the exact problem you met. Please
try to run the test case that we have provided, and see whether the problem
still exists on your machine.

Please see the attachment.
***********************************
Step1: configure database with SQL Server 2000 SP3
1) Two tables named Master and Detail.
2) Two primary keys on each table and both are identity column.
3) One foreign key for mapping a primary key of one table to a primary key
of the other table.
Step2: open the test case with PB10 and notice the code in Click event of
cb_2 button control where we used the PowerScript you mentioned.
By running the test case in PB, the identity in the master Datawindow will
appear, and the detail Datawindow will be updated successfully.
Step3: deploy this test case with Appeon. The deployed Web application is
running correctly.
***********************************
Does the test case meet your requirement? And can the test case be run
successfully on your machine? If not , please modify the test case to meet
your requirements or provide more detailed information.

By the way, our engineer suspects that there is something wrong with the
code ¡°ll_master_key = dw_master.GetItemNumber(ll_InsertRow, "master_key")¡±
, in other words, we think there is a problem with your application when
getting the data from the master datawindow.

Thank you for you patience and time.
Regards
Jing.Zhang
