Any info on this release? Is it in beta? Will it include stored functions
(ISUG indicates it will)?

All that I see at Sybase for 15.X futures is at
http://www.sybase.com/detail?id=1038641

Last October a local sales rep indicated 2005Q4 or 2006Q1. My TechWave
notes indicated 2006Q1. Considering the above link I wonder how late 15.1
will be.

I notice in a pdf from Jeff Tallman (Sybase ASE15: A Technical Insight) that
15.1 was scheduled for 2006Q2 and should include clusters. However, the pdf
was created on May 11, 2005.

15.0.1 is scheduled for July timeframe. 15.1 (clusters) does not have a hard

(SNIP)

Yes. So I have to login in order to find this info. I like to just click
on the targeted dates without going through the login process:

http://www.sybase.com/detail?id=1023895 (for 12.5.X)
http://www.sybase.com/detail?id=1038641 (for 15.X)

However, these don't seem to be maintained very well since neither is up to
date. (12.5.3 ESD#7 was released more than a month ago and you have pointed
out the latest 15.X release.) I sent a site response several weeks ago
about ESD #7 being available and nothing happened. Not a good reflection
upon Sybase.

I shouldn't have tried to be intelligent on the first day after returning
from my vacation.

Sorry for the confusion...

Here is the scoop,
Sybase employees (not me) could see it on the download site last Friday as an
internal release. However the customers that are dying to get it must still
wait.

I sick of waiting for a release that should have been out in the 1st qtr at the
latest. Bill Gates- here i come.
