Does this happen at random intervals on the same computer, or does it always
print one way or the other on a given computer?

Does it ever print normally?

Is the printer driver OK for the OS?

It's random, sometimes it print's well all the day, and sometimes not.

Even sometimes one document prints well and the next doesn't

Is it always the same printer? Or do you get the same random results no
matter what printer you use?

Two more questions to try to isolate the problem:
- Does it happen with all richtext dws?
- Can you try it on more than one machine and see if it behaves the same
way?

Wow - this is an odd one.

- What Operating System are you using?
- What fonts?
- Try this: Copy the RTF to the clipboard and paste it into something like
Word. Print from there and see if it behaves better.

I'm sorry about all of the questions and things to try. I don't really know
why it's behaving this way, and I'm ust trying to help isolate where the
problem is.

Jorge,

I had a thought - might this be related to character set selection either on
the PC or the printer? Perhaps something is getting tossed out there that is
misinterpreted by the printer, causing it to switch modes. If you can, check
that the character set for the PC is in sync with the character set being
used by the printer.
