I've found that rep agents can be a little finicky.

Try logging into your ASE and issue sp_stop_rep_agent followed by
sp_start_rep_agent. Then log into your repserver and see if you can get
your log transfer (rep agent) connection started up.

If it still won't come up check your ASE and repserver errorlogs. If you
do get some messages in the errorlog(s) and aren't sure what to do, post
said messages back here to the newsgroup.

----------

Were these rep agents working before? If so, what's changed recently? any
databases (primary, secondary, RSSD) loaded from backups?

Thanks for the reply.
I bounced the repserver but it didn't start. I then ran the sp_stop_ and
sp_start_ rep agent again and all woked fine now. It is as you said -
finicky.

Thanks again for the help.
