1- When I try to run the following statement:
CREATE SERVER TESTSERVER CLASS 'odbc' USING 'DSN=TESTDB'
READ ONLY;

I systematically get the error:
"ASA Error -647: Could not execute store DLL (dbcis8.dll)
entry point."

Note: The TESTDB dsn exists and point to an existing
MsAccess database.

My dbcis8.dll version is 8.0.3.5002, it is located under
C:\WINDOWS\system32
and the version of ASA we have is the 8.0.3.

When I go to the Help files and search for error 647 it
says:
"Probable cause
An attempt to locate or execute the store DLL entry point
failed."

I don't know what to do...

2- I know I can run a CREATE EXISTING TABLE statement when I
don't
have a server but this does not explain why I get a syntax
error
when I try to run this statement:
CREATE EXISTING TABLE Agenda AT
'access;c:\test\db1.mdb;;Agenda';

The error I get is "ASA Error -131: Syntax error near
'existing'"

Your help file says:
"Probable cause
The database server cannot understand the statement you are
trying to execute.
If you used a keyword (such as DATE) for a column name,
try enclosing the keyword in quotation marks ("DATE")."

I don't know what to do either...

Your help would be very appreciated.

Thanks

Edmond Doudard

Nick,

That was it. I've re-installed everything from scratch on a
blank machine and everything went fine this time.

Thanks

Edmond
