Hi All,

This products been on the market for a little while now.
This newsgroup hardly has any activity.
Is no one buying the product? Why? Is it the price? Lack
of interest? Lack of marketing?

I really want my company to purchase a copy (the lowest end
version for $995), but they're balking at the price.

We simply want it for debugging stored procedures.
Something that quite frankily should have been included in
PowerBuilder many many years ago (similar to Visual Studio
.net being able to debug ms sql sp's). We really don't
need/want the other features.

I tried the 14-day evaluation against one of our ASE 15 test
servers, and it seems really cool for debugging sp's.

So what's the deal?
Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,

You're not the first person to mention the packaging issue to us, and
without revealing too much before the release, we are addressing this in the
next WorkSpace release later this quarter.

As for low newsgroup usage, I think there are a number of factors. First,
WorkSpace is a new product, and as such, its adoption is still ramping up.
We do have customers, but we are working closely with them to ensure their
success. So most of our paying customers have access to engineering
directly, and use the newsgroups less.

I'm pleased with the interest shown in WorkSpace by our customer base, and
the increasing numbers of both sales and evaluation downloads. We are
announcing the next release later this quarter, and will have increased
marketing around that release as well.

I'd be happy to discuss the specifics of the new features and packaging in
the next release with you, just give me a call at the number below.

regards,

Loren Corbridge
