Hi

We are going to be implementing replicatin in the future. In the mean time
we need to add rowversion columns to our tables. will this conflict with
replication (i.e. does replication depend on having a specific rowversion
field also)?

rowversion fields are ignored in replication (the rowversion content is
dependant on the target table and doesn't get overwritten from the
source on replication - however, it'll change the content).

Does that mean that a replicated record with a rowversion will generate a
new rowversion number in the destination table?

Can I specify the field type as rowversion in the source table but integer
in the destination so that the value is synchronized?

I did a quick test and it seems not to work.
