A CT is asking for change the port number of PA Web Server. Is it possible?
If possible, how to do that?

Hello

Isnt that in the console for pylon under "sync server name" here you can set
an optional port, if i recall right.

technically, yes

for PA < 7.0
You have to change the port in the IIS administration for the Pylon Anywhere Website

for PA >= 7.0
You need to change the port in the Secure Gateway that is running ON the Pylon Anywhere server. Check out the manual for the Secure Gateway on
http://www.ianywhere.com/developer/product_manuals/pylon_anywhere/index.html

And of course you need to adjust the setting in the Admin Console for Website and/or Sync server name.

I do not suggest to change the ports! You could run into trouble when doing some specific changes in the Admin Console.

Why does the customer want to change the port(s)?

It is for security reason. The customer is considering another port for PA
service other than 80. I have tried to change the port, but found there was
some errors. For example, the PA statistics in Admin Console will opo up an
error message.
