Hi, I'm very very very new to M-Business, (been playing around with it for about
a day lol). I’m trying to get this example to work:

http://www.ianywhere.com/developer/code_samples/dtpicker.html

After doing…:

"Sync the sample channel to your device.

* To make sure you can run the sample, check whether you have DateTime
Picker MimePlayer v2.0.12, by checking the "About M-Business" page from View
menu."

…the sync works fine and I can view the Date Time Picker page, through the test
channel I created. However under view I can not see "DateTime Picker MimePlayer
v2.0.12" and the sample doesn’t work. How do I get the MimePlayer onto the PDA?
Please help I need to learn this fast for my new job. >.<;

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the M-Business world.

Check these steps for the channel once more:

a.. Unzip files to a local directory onto a web server.
a.. Set up MIME types (.dll and .prc maps to application/octet-stream) to
allow binary download (see M-Business Anywhere Server Administrator Guide -
Chapter 7 for details).
a.. Create an M-Business Server Personal Web channel for your user (refer to
M-Business Anywhere Administrator Guide - Chapter 14 for further details)
using the following settings:
a.. Channel Title: Date Time Picker Sample
b.. Channel URL: http://your_webserver/date/datepicker.html
c.. Channel Size: 100 kb
d.. Channel Link Depth: 2
e.. Allow Binary Distribution: true (checked)
f.. Use defaults for all other propertie
Be sure to double check the "Allow Binary Distribution" option is set to
true (the box is checked). You can also check your web server logs and
M-Business logs to see if the server is attempting to fetch the prc or dll.
The M-Business sync_error.log will indicate a problem with M-Business
fetching the resource file. Your web server log can indicate any problems
with the request.
