Chris:
The best instructions for the Remote Admin Console are in a tech note linked
from the Pylon Anywhere support site at
http://www.ianywhere.com/developer/technotes/pa_remote_admin_console.html

The steps for version 6 also apply to version 7.

It is important to note that very few customers take advantage of this
feature - - more often than not, companies choose to use remote management
software, such as Remote Desktop or Timbuktu Pro, to remotely manage Pylon
Anywhere, since they can access the admin console, but also the computer's
file system, task manager, event logs, etc. So, you might want to
investigate that option as well.

Matt..

Hello & Thanks - I always look for multiple ways to get to the same system
for remote management: Terminal Server & Remote Desktop, web interface to
server services, NTadmin, Windows Server Manager, pcAnyWhere, etc directly
or indirectly with/with out VPN -

- the Pylon Remote Admin Console was just another backup - the
pa_remote_admin_console.html link is great -

- the only server issue that I haven't been able to get around is if the
server if 'off' for some reason some and doesn't have a remote wake-up on
lan function -

- today is the first day of vacation and the institution had a major power
outage - the ONLY server that did not come back up was one Pylon system that
several key people including my boss use - since it is only me, this means a
trip back in to town.....
