Hi ya,

I was trying RFID Anywhere, 2.5 and found some bugs in the ALE demo in the
Inventory demo.

1. According to the tutorial, for the ALE Event Cycle connects, the field of
Send Reports as Object should be set to True. In fact, it must be set to
False in order to make the demo work, which might sort out the problem I
posted before. Must not follow the tutorial :)...

2. The simulated data files (reader1.smt and reader2.smt) are compatible
with this version. I have to enter the data manually.

3. The client application has some bugs in the file of ALEDemo.cs. Have a
look at the following code segment.

// Load asset list into GUI

while(guiItems2.MoveNext())

{

current = (Asset)guiItems2.Current;

index = BoxAssets.AddRow(...

);

assets.SetGUIIndex(current.TagID, index);

}
The index which is initially pointing at the first object moves to next
first. It leads the client application always missing the first item. This
bug spots out several times in the code.

4. In the report spec of ALE Event Cycle, the field of Grouping pattern does
not work. I can use the report viewer to see the tags, but I can group them.
It results in the function of Asset Summary of ALE Demo not function.

5. In the report spec of ALE Event Cycle, the field value of CURRENT of EPC
to Be Reported does not work. What the report displays is not consistent
with the xls file of the tag activities.

6. In addition, when simulating the tags appearing in more than 2 EPC event
cycles, it should not show that these tags have been deleted in the first
cycle and are added in the second. It will cause weird effect to the client
applications.

I will greatly appreciate anyone who can kindly help me with these bugs.

Kind regards

Jianyu

Jianyu:

I just updated the RFID Anywhere Developer Edition download ont he RFID
Anywhere Insider site. We fixed some issues with the Simulator and with
Inventory Tracker, so please download the latest ZIP file. You will want to
provision SetupSimulator.2.5.4.msi and SetupInventoryTrackerFiles.2.5.1.msi
through Provisioning.

We'll have a look at the detailed issues you reported below, but it will
defintely be worth trying again with the updated packages described above.

Please keep us updated on what you find when using the new packages.

Matt..
