We got a CD ROM from Sybase iAnywhere. It is called
SQL Anywhere version 9.02 AUTHENTICATED edition.

Unlike the regular version, which you can do any SQL command, for this OEM
edition, any front-end application, in order to do update to the database,
must be AUTHENTICATED first. However, we do not have instruction as how to
authenticate this edition.

Back in history, 1996, we were able to use the sample C++ code from Watcom
to accomplish this. But as you know, PowerSoft bought Watcom, Sybase in
turn bought PowerSoft, so we are not sure which group in Sybase would be
able to track down the code sample.

Any help will be appreciated.

You should have received instructions with the CD, or on the CD.

Breck,

Thanks a lot. I will ask the client to provide the actual OEM CD.
