I'm trying to deploy a simple servlet to a web application in EAS 5.2. When
I enter the URL in the browser, I get a message "static resource
/wa1/helloWorld not found" in the jaguarhttpservlet log. I got a basic JSP
to deploy and render correctly from the web app, but no luck with the
servlet.

I do initialize the servlet when Jaguar starts - which leads me to believe
the servlet is compiled and deployed corectly.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I found the problem - needed to add servlet mapping in the web app.

You need to specify both a servlet and a servlet mapping in the web
app's web.xml. Something like:

<servlet>
<servlet-name>My Servlet</servlet-name>
<servlet-class>myCompany.myPackage.HelloWorld</servlet-class>
<load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
</servlet>
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>My Servlet</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/wal/helloWorld</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>

In article <44da89da$1@forums-2-dub>, peter@alexsoft.com says...
