Hi,
We are working with Sybase ASA 9.0.2.
In the passed two months, I had this error message twice, on
a
system that works for 24 hrs and 7 days in a week.
When I restart the db the system starts working normally.
I have the similar code and db on a different computer which
is
more powerful from this one that shows no problem.

Before increasing the related 'MAX_STATEMENT_COUNT option'
default value from 50 to a higher value, I wanted to get the
opinion of the forum.

Thanks for your help.....

Error: "Resource governor for 'prepared statements'
exceeded"

PC: RAM 256 MB (Could this be a problem?!?!?!)
MS Win XP Prof with SP2

This means that your application is creating preparted statements but is
not releasing them. The default limit in ASA is 50. You can modify
this value by changing a database option, but more likely you should fix
your application to release these prepared statements. Otherwise this
is a "resource leak" situation.
