We are using Lotus Notes 6.5.4 clients, iPaq H2210's and Pylon Pro 5.4.1.
So far, every one of the 8 installations of Pylon Pro that we've done
duplicated calendar entries. I know how to fix it (per the support web
page).. but it sure would be nice to actually use the feature without
blowing calendars left and right.

As it is now, I have to install and select the option to overwrite the
device with the workstation, which doesn't allow my users to create calendar
items on the iPaq and synch them to Notes.. a big reason we bought the
software to begin with.

Will,

This newsgroup is for Pylon Anywhere, a server-based application, not Pylon
Pro or Conduit (Pylon Desktop). You should open trouble tickets at
http://avgo.stores.yahoo.net/pylproandcon.html to guarantee a reply to Pylon
Desktop issues.

When you install or upgrade Pylon, it is important to synchronize at least
once in "Desktop overwrites Handheld" mode, because the application has no
other way to know if existing messages on the device are identical to those
in Notes. If there is already crucial information on the PDA, you will need
to synchronize in "Synchronize the Files" mode, but once this is finished,
you should clean up any duplicates in Notes, then sync once is "Desktop
overwrites Handheld" mode.

In earlier versions, you would need to keep synchronizing in "Desktop
overwrites Handheld" mode to avoid duplication. However, in version 5.4.1,
this is much less of a problem. After the first sync, you should be able to
switch back to "Synchronize the Files".

If this doesn't solve your problem, please open a trouble ticket.

Regards,

Mike Loop
