- informative email newsletter iAnyWhere/M-Business/Sybase news -

>>>SNIP>>>
***Sybase iAnywhere Debuts New Wireless AvantGo Software For BlackBerry
Popular mobile Internet service demonstrated on new BlackBerry Pearl at CTIA
http://www.ianywhere.com/press_releases/wireless_avantgo.html
***Sybase iAnywhere Furthers Mobile Web Application Development with New
Version of M-Business Anywhere Sybase iAnywhere announced the availability
of the latest release of its award-winning M-Business Anywhere(TM).
http://www.ianywhere.com/press_releases/mbusiness602.html.
>>>SNIP>>>

- not to beat what seems to be a dead horse, but the newsletter points to a
few things peple have been asking Sybase (M-Biz) support about for some
time:

1) AvantGo/M-Business on a BlackBerry (yes I know M-Biz is not AvantGo) - a
RIM client for M-Biz would be great too but...

2) Update version of M-Biz (was scheduled for August?) - when / where / how?
and a download path for M-Biz updates (no link in the newsletter) - there is
little to NO info on MySybase about M-Biz and NO links to current version
info nor download options for licensed users at MySybase - no searchable
links at iAnyWhere either for downloads by licensed users - I had to submit
an MySybase info Case request to get the link for the download - Yu Ping was
very fast with a reply to the info case request with the links Product
Manuals Page
http://www.ianywhere.com/developer/product_manuals/mbusiness_anywhere/index.html
Windows Download Page
http://www.ianywhere.com/downloads/software/mbus_windows0831.html

3) newsletter link http://www.ianywhere.com/press_releases/mbusiness602.html
leads to http://www.ianywhere.com/datasheets/mbusiness_anywhere.html that
show a 'secure gateway' like configuration - Sybase told me the secure
gateway was only available from Sybase Professional Services and I've had my
request in the Q there for some time now....hopefully a secure gateway is in
v6.2 but so far I can't find it ...still no contact back from Sybase
Professional Services about the secure gateway they have for M-Biz -

well, hopefully m-biz v6.2254 fixes some problems with v6.03066

Hi Owen,

I am not sure how you have contacted Professional Services. Did you the
contact page <http://www.ianywhere.com/support/ps_contact.html>
to submit a request ?

Anyway, I am forwarding your request to the appropriate people.

Shuchit
