Can be more detailed about the exact things that you did to backup the
database?

Yes. I want to backup my database. I want to put the backup file in other
computer (computer back up) I use "dbbackup.exe" utility from sybase ASA 9.0
And I set Properties like This: In set target properties
"C:\Program Files\Mycompany\Myapp\ASA\win32\dbbackup.exe" -c
"eng=mydatabasename;dbn=mydatabasename;uid=myuid;pwd=mypwd;commlinks=tcpip"
-y c:\db_bakup
and In start in properties
"C:\Program Files\Mycompany\myapp\ASA\win32"
(this properties I set up in My desktop for properties of dbbackup.exe)
The backup processing is runing well until finishing (100%). But when I
check the size file back up, that size is 0 (zero byte).I dont Know what is
hapen in my processing back up. (for more information my database file size
is more than 4 GB.)

Win98 has a file size limit of 4GB assuming that you are using Fat32. I
am surprised that the OS did not provide a fatal error once the file
size limit was hit.

I asked about your backup method because many third party backup
software will produce zero byte files for open and active files.

Hello,

Windows 98 cannot handle files bigger than 4 GB. I think the limit even is
2 GB, but am not sure. Run the backup process on the server, and be sure
to write the backup to a drive formatted using NTFS, then the size of the
database file should not be an issue.

Frank
