Hello,
I cannot install the HW connectors for RFID readers. When I
am doing it in Provisioning tab, after "deploy" I get an
error message saying:
"Error deploying the package. Error:No connection could be
made because the target machine actively refused it".
This happens to all HW connectors for RFID readers that I
can download from web. This doesn't happen for RFID printer!
Can anybody help me with this.
It is very urgent.
Thanks Richard

Can you describe your RA network i.e., is the provisioning of the connector
to a different node?

Are you provisioning immediately? If so, do you allow the RA service restart
before provisioning a new connector?

I just want to test it on my PC, so I have W2003
installation of RFID Anywhere (Group Manager). I downloaded
some of the RFID HW connectors to test it, how it works. I
don't have the real HW readers by me. I just want to install
the package for the HW connector to see how it looks like.
Tomorrow I am going to customer to install it and I want to
see how the installation of HW connectors works.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work here.
I just deploy the package and sometimes it gives me the
error of "Connection refused". Sometimes it says "package
installed" but when I wait for a minute (to RA restart) and
click refresh, I see the HW connector status "Failed".
I am not sure if whether I am doing something wrong.
thanks

Richard:

After you provision your first connector, the RFID Anywhere service will
restart. If you try to deploy again immediately, you will get the error
message you listed, since the RFID Anywhere service isn't actually fully
restarted yet.

Can you confirm that you are able to deploy RFID reader packages if you wait
until the RFID Anywhere service starts before deploying them? A good way to
make sure the service is up is to either watch the Task Manager, or if you
really want to, you can close your browser and then log in again after a
moment.

Please follow up and let me know if this is the cause of the issue.

Thanks!

Matt..
