We currently have an account with Sybase at www.sybase.com, where we can log
on and get software from most product families. We currently use SQL
Anywhere and Power Designer for example.

However, when we need to get M-Business Server software, currently we get a
link emailed to us upon request from iAnywhere which takes us directly to
the download, e.g.
http://www.ianywhere.com/downloads/software/mbus_windows1201.html
for 6.0 or
http://www.ianywhere.com/downloads/software/mbus_windows0831.html
for 6.2.

Now, I know we're using 6.3, but I can't seem to find the download link.

How do you generally get their downloads for M-Business Anywhere? How do
you know the link?

Cheers,

Shao

Thanks. I must have got the versions wrong. However, still, the question
remains. Where do users usually go to get their downloads from or check for
new release increments?

Surely they don't try and guess the last 4 digits of the web page and surely
they don't go through the registration process every time to try and reach
that page?

And why is it not available for download on Sybase.com or is it my account
at fault?

Cheers,

Shao

If you have a current support plan you can download MBusiness from the
Sybase SPDC

If you are running the developer edition I believe you need to re-register
each time you download

Thanks for that Steve. We've got basic support plus application partner
support plus emergency customer support.

I have opened a case with Sybase to resolve this.

Cheers,

Shao

Hi Stephen,

Well, I've got confirmation from iAnywhere. It appears that:
1) It is not possible to donwload M-Business from Sybase.
2) The only way to know whether a new version of M-Business has been
released is by asking someone on the newsgroups, emailing someone at
iAnywhere who knows, raising a support call or going through the
registration process to see if it directs you to the latest page.

Personally, I think that this is poor.

Still, at least I know now.

Cheers,

Shao
