Plz let me know some practical answers. We are converting an
existing PB 7 C/s application using Appeon 5. but we are
facing so many problems. Like one of the attendees already
posted, the Appeon debugger is not working, we tested the
DebugBreak, the MS debugger working or not etc. But still
the debugger is not working. Another issue being noted is
the supported feature is being listed in the UFA, when the
parsing option in the configuration setup is not being
selected, etc. Another cases is that a simple SELECT
statement (SELECT count(1) FROM DUAL) fails in some cases
(if u check the SQLCODE just before the SELECT it will be 0
but just after the SELECT the SQLCODE will become -1). Does
someone have done a complete deployment of a real PB c/s
application using appeon ??

Hi Mathew,

I have deployed the application completely by using APPEON 3.1 and users are
very happy to use it. After IE7 launched, we try to migrate to APPEON 5.
Nightmare come! There is a strange compilation error and it does not work.
I have also posted in this forum to seek help from the expertise.

Thanks
KA

Appeon do not support PB 7. I regret to say you can only use
PB 8 and above versions.

If problem remains, we also would like to know the
PowerBuilder version, build number, operating system, and
other environment information as well as a simple test case.
A simple test case can help us reproduce your issue and the
more detailed information we've get, the more complete and
much faster will the issue be solved.

I suggest you use the latest Appeon5.0 EBF release in this
month if you are using Internet Explorer 7.0, and follow the
checklist below: 1)Confirm the Microsoft script debugger
have been correctly installed and registered on a same
computer. Confirm the Script Debugging is enabled in the
Internet Explorer. Otherwise, the Appeon Debugger will not
run correclty. For detailed instructions and solutions,
refer to the Appeon Debugger section in the Appeon
Troubleshooting Guide in Appeon Help. 2)Confirm the script
to be debugged is deployed in the Debug JS or Debug PS/JS
mode with the local Appeon Developer, and enable the
Generate Object Flags for Appeon Debugger option in the
Appeon Deployment Wizard. 3)Redeploy the application and
enable the Generate Object Flags for Appeon Debugger option
if the local Web files and the remote Web files are not the
same or you have changed the applicationPBLs. Otherwise, the
newly-added code will not be selectable in Appeon Debugger.
4)Confirm the original PowerScript code of the script is
supported by Appeon. Otherwise, the unsupported code will be
marked with a icon the Appeon Debugger Source view, and
neither can it be set as breakpoint nor be located with the
Run To Cursor or Set Next Statement commands in the
debugger.
You may also refer to Appeon 5.0 for PowerBuilder Help |

Applications | Important Requirements for details.
I will send you the screenshots if giving me your e-mail.
