Does ASA 10 provide full-text indexing or a similar feature?

No.

At the Techwave conference last August, it was stated that support for
full-text searching of data in the database was under consideration
but it would not come until "After Jasper".

"Jasper" was the code name for the current version (10) which has been
available for several months. Your guess is as good as mine as to the
meaning of "After Jasper"... 10.1, 10.2, version 11, or later?

We're curious to know if there's an update as to the status of full-text
search capabilities for ASA 10, if it will be coming in a minor release or
EBF. We have some projects where we could really use something like this,
so we're trying to determine if it's worth looking into a 3rd party tool,
but our hopes is something will be coming eventually for ASA 10. Currently
we are on ASA 9.0.2.3044, but we are looking to upgrade to 10 and just
curious to know as far as picking a particular minor/revision number.

There are no plans to added full text search capabilities to SA 10.

As Breck mentioned, this feature is being considered for a future
release.
