Hello,

1. I am using RFID Anywhere 3.0 version
2. OS: Windows XP professional service pack 2
3. Visual Studio version 2003
4. I was just debugging the inventorytracker.cs file from Visual Studio 2003
5. Yes I have read the documentation from getting started but i did not
construct the simulation file

Please let me know the steps required (from scratch) to run the
inventorytracker.cs successfully and see the output result once. So that I
can design the business logic for my research.

Thank you,
Haseeb

The steps in the documentation (specifically the Inventoru Tracker Demo
section of the RFID Anywhere Tutorials chapter of the Getting Started Guide)
walk you through how to set up the demo and create business logic by
handling events. In InventoryTracker, events come in from the simulations
to the OnRnEvent method where the business logic processes them (looks for
the type of event, decodes the tag ID, maps the tag ID to an actual product
by looking the info up in an XML file, and then builds up a custom XML
string that it sends to a messaging connector (a TCP messaging connector
which sends the output to the EnterpriseApp application for display). So,
you can add a File messaging connector to the business module's Subscribers
property and then every time the business module sends output to the
messaging connectors, a file will get created that you can look at.

Other demos on the Insider site use the same fundamental ideas.

You should also watch the Inventory Tracker video at
http://www.ianywhere.com/downloads/demos/rfid_anywhere/inventory_tracker/index.html
for a full overview of the demo and all it's moving parts.

Matt.
