Hi,

In Sybase Central we connect to a DB we want to generate a tracing
(clients.db) and launch the Database Tracing Wizard, but when it tries to
create a new database (tracing.db) to store the tracing data it fails and
cannot create this new DB, displaying an error unloading the DB we want to
trace:

***** SQL error: Procedure 'sa_exec_script' not found.
The database "clients.db" could not be unloaded

We are using SQL Anywhere 10 with a developer license, installed in Windows
XP.
(in the installation of the application we got an error ...
"self-registration of the following DLL failed: msxml.4.dll ErrCode: -4")

Could you help me???

Thanks in advance!!
Francisco

Which version and build of SQL Anywhere are you using?
Take a look in the "help about" dialog in Sybase Central to find the version
for the SQL Anywhere plug-in.

thanks,

Paul

The sa_exec_script procedure is an internal database procedure that is used
by the unload tool. Based on the message, it seems like it's missing from
your database. Can you give some background on how this database was
created (i.e., was this unloaded from a previous version)?

Also, it would be useful to determine if there are any other procedures
missing. Try running the following query against the database:

select count(*) from sysprocedure where proc_name like 'sa_%'
