Hi,

I got 4 connectors from RFIDAnywhere to track and simulate
Location Information system (LIS). After deploying all four
(visible in Provisioning page)I could not see them (except
ActiveRFID Axcess) in the Local services combo box (to add).

The sample application to simulate the LIS application with
passive RFID tags was great. But I was just wondering how to
simulate the same for active RFID tags.

Using the ActiveRFID Axcess I gave the serial port as COM3.
Should I get the tags from this port or please let me know
what I am missing to simulate an LIS application for active
RFID tags using the connectors provided by RFIDAnywhere. My
four connetors are :Actice RFID Axcess, Ekhau Position
Engine RC, Activr RFIF RF Code, Active RFID Identec.

A sample for the connectors provided would help.

Thanks,
Raghu

Raghu:

Those Active RFID connectors are meant to connect into the actual systems
themselves - they do not provide simulation.

So, unless you actually have the Active RFID systems in your lab, those
connectors won't be of any use to you yet.

As for simulating Active tags, this isn't something that we have today, so I
suggest you prototype out your application using passive RFID simulations as
the demo shows, or contact one of the vendors to see about evaluation
versions of their systems. In the Location Tracking session of RFID
Univerisity, Ekahau mentioned that they have an evaluation version available
form their website.

Regards,

Matt..
