Adaptive Server Anywhere MobiLink Version 9.0.2.3228

We used to run our application on 128 MB Storage Cards.
They are hard to find now. We got 512MB Storage Cards.
Identical software and application. When we start up the
database, it will run, then during the sync it will assert.

SQL Statement Failed: (-305) I/O fatal error: No such file
or directory -- Transaction rolled bal
followed by
SQL Statement failed: )-101) Not connected to a database.

Why in the world would the ASA Database not run from a
larger memory storage card?

Thanks

Does this always happen on a specific brand/model of card? Have you tried
other cards to see if the problem reproduces there?

Given your description which indicates that the key item that changed in
your configuration is the storage card you are using, hardware would be a
probable cause of the problem.

We tried multiple kingston 512 MB cards - none worked.
Kingston has always been our workhorse card. I will
purchase another brand of 512 MB card and try it. I should
mention that the Kingston 512 MB card works fine with CE 4.2
MB unit upgraded to CE 5.0 and will not work on a unit
purchased with CE 5.0. (we have had multiple issues with
customers who upgraded thier OS's vs customers who purchased
the units with CE 5.0. I was wondering about bugs with CE
5.0 and sybase.

Something else is going on. There are two different build
levels of the Windows CE OS Build (1400) from 2005which
works and build (0000) from Dec 2006 which is not working.
It all sounds like a timeout issue.

The 512 cards have a faster speed rating.
