I have an ADS 8.1 database with a table containing 2 triggers: one on INSERT
and one on DELETE. My application has a function to drop and create these
triggers. In trying to work with these yesterday, I have corrupted the
triggers and I can't seem to correct.

Currently when I access the triggers in ARC, I get the trigger window, and
the drop down shows 2 triggers in the list. However, as soon as I select
either trigger, I get this error:

Error 5132: The specified database object name is not valid. There is no
such named Trigger in the data dictionary.

I can remove the table from the data dictionary and then add it back in, and
it clears the triggers. I try to create them again and the create works just
fine, but then I have the same situation in ARC again. I ran ADTFIX.EXE
against this database and it didn't report any errors on this table.

This morning I downloaded the latest 8.1.0.6 since it mentioned in the
update list that it corrected some issues with triggers and memory usage,
but that did not help.

Has anybody else run in to this problem?

Thanks,
Jason

Trigger names in 8.1 must be fully qualified with the table name.

What happens if you run the following SQL in ARC?

drop trigger <yourtable>.<yourtrigger>
