if OB is synching the meeting to the palm calendar then how does the user
accept, decline, meetings.... how does the user see who is the chair of the
meeting ? who are the participants.

what about meeting notes, attachments, resources, location and the other
details. Will this appear inside MailPlus as well ? Just a bit confused ...
like mail has mailplus does calendar have a calendar plus.

Then we have the funny scenarios .. what if somebody changed the entries in
the calendar then what ? does it get updated correctly on the lotus notes
mail server ?

When a meeting request comes to the Palm device the meeting request is
sent to MailPlus and the user is able to Accept/Decline/Tenatively
Accept the meeting request when opening up the meeting request. There
are three buttons within the e-mail meeting request that gives you each
of these options. The chair of the meeting request is always the sender
of the meeting request. The participants come across as cc. Once the
meeting request is accepted it is automatically put into the Palm
Calendar. We do use the native palm calendar so the fields that are
supported in the Palm Calendar are what support. If you have a
description in the meeting request it will show up in the Details of the
meeting request, as well as the subject and the participants.

If something changes in the calendar it is picked up as a modification
and changed correctly on the device.

Thanks

Mark

Great! so the meeting request will not appear in the regular email
application.. how would the user know he has to check the MailPlus app v/s
regular Email application.

Do you allow countered meeting requests ... user sends a meeting request but
then later on decides to change the meeting timing or some of the
participants later on do a change time or suggest new time?

So these changes are bi-directional? device to mail-file and mail-file to
device

We would expect that the user would only be using MailPlus as their mail
application to receive their Domino E-mail and Meeting Requests. Yes,
we will honor changes in meeting requests.

Yes, the changes are bi-directional, it is a true synchronization.

Thanks

Mark

Okay, got it. OB does not use the versamail at all .. it only uses the
contacts and calendar for normal pim synchronization but mailplus for email.
Earlier was confused that even email will get into the versamail....my bad
not got a chance to play with it yet.

Mark ... Thanks for the responses on the newsgroup.
