One query.

I bought symbol XR480 reader today which has firmware
version 2.4.2 on it. I downloaded connector for XR480 (which
is for firmware version 2.6.2). So will this connector
(firmware 2.2.6) work with XR480 with firmware version 2.4.2
?

If No, then please suggest what needs to be done ?

The HW connectors are certified on a base version (in you case min firmware
version to run 2.2.6)
