Hello,

I am trying to install the LIS module (Build 41) and after I
install the prerequisites and run the LIS Control panel
through
the "Location Information System" link I get an error, "The
website cannot display the page", "http 500". If I try to
run
the "iAnywhere.RfidNet.LIS.ControlPanel.exe" from explorer I
get
the following Microsoft .NET Framework error.

n unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If
you
click Continue, the application will ignore this error and
attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application
will be
shut down immediately.

File or assembly name
iAnywhere.RfidNet.LIS.ControlPanel.UIExtensions, or one of
its
dependencies, was not found.

If I click details the error message pasted at the end of
this
message is given.

If I click continue the control panel opens but with the
Admin
button greyed out and no icons in the right hand pane. The
reports and alerts buttons do nothing and the logout button
closes the control panel.

From the error I suspeected that the problem was the
location of
the dll files as the error list them in the \LIS directory
whereas they are actually in the \LIS\bin directory. After
copying them across to the \LIS directory I had the same
http
500 error, but when I ran the file direct from explorer it
connected and open control panel. However, the admin button
is
still greyed out.

I hope this makes sense.

Regards,

Darren Swinson.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for
this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.

Hi Darren,

LIS could only be launched from the Internet Explorer. In your case I
suggest you to review your IE configuration seems any IIS param is wrong
configured.

D
