I am losing Data intermittently with my save function.
Application is in Powerbuilder 6.5. On obsrevig the log file
I notice a 'ROLLBACK' after 'commit'.
What could be causing me to loose data

When you run dbtran against a transaction log, a DISCONNECT operation is
shown as a ROLLBACK.

Did you translate the log file with the -a switch to show rolled back
transactions? Without that switch, you might not see the actual operation
in the log that are being rolled back.

The most likely cause is application errors that are not being trapped
by your program. Do you check the dw.update return code, or the
SQLCA.SQLCODE after embedded SQL calls?

Hugh,

Without viewing the verbose log it's tough to comment on the ROLLBACK after
the commit. Are you sure this is happening on the same connection? How did
you translate the transaction log? Does your application execute any
ROLLBACK statements?

To add to Josh's comments - if you are seeing a ROLLBACK *after* the COMMIT
in the log file, then it will not be affecting any data since the COMMIT has
already occurred at that point.--
