Hi,

I have a OLE control which is a windows media player. The control plays a
.wmv file in a URL. It works great in client but when I put it to appeon the
control just display blank but the scroll bar keeps moving like the movie is
playing.

Pls help. Appeon should support OLE control, right?

Steve

For more info, the sound of video is ok. I can hear the voice of the video.
The only problem is the video is blank.

Hi Steve,
I did some tests in-house. There was no problem on playing a
WMV file on the Web. The problem you met may be because
1. The Internet is not speed enough to play a video. You can
confirm this via deploying the application to a local server
and visit the Web application on the local machine. If there
is no problem on playing the video then the problem you met
must be caused by the internet speed.
2. The Media player version is too low to play the video.

Regards
Sally li

since you say you can hear the sound of the vedio, I guess

Hi Sally,

Thx for reply.
Actually I did the test for both client and web version in the same machine.
The client version is good while the web version gave me voice only with
blank screen.

I've tried to copy the video into c: drive and play it. The result is the
same.

Could you pls show me how you play wmv file? Through OLE control 'Window
media player' which is as same as mine?

Rdgs
Steve
