Is Workspace restricted to developing just web applications, or can one
also use it to create rich client (based on Eclipse RCP) applications as
well?

P.S. Of course, I mean rich clients that display datawindows on them. In
other words, does workspace include a datawindow runtime based on SWT/JFace?

No. Sorry.

(Even the PB in the web control is still a Win32 based DLL. There is no
rewrite of the datawindow technology in Java.)
