I'm attempting to build a Business Module as part of a
proof-of-concept model using RFID Anywhere, however I'm
having a bit of trouble gaining the full functionality of
the Visual Studio Extension. The extension appears to
install correctly, and I am able to choose 'RFID Anywhere
Business Module', but the RFID Anywhere drop-down menu does
not appear once the module is created, and the icons on the
RFID Anywhere are not enabled. Since we are required to
develop business logic on a different machine than the one
on which RFID Anywhere is installed, I have to make use of a
setup project to create a deployable package. Unfortunately
I don't know how to create such a package other than the way
described in your documentation. Any ideas as to why the
extension isn't functioning fully?

Robert:

The icons and menu won't activate until you are in the business module's
main .cs file.

If you open up that file and start writing your code, you should be able to
use the menu items including the Add Controller and Build Setup Project
options.

Hope this helps. If not, can you post a screen shot and confirm that you are
using VS .NET 2003?

Thanks..

Matt..

Sounds like an installation issue with the VSExt.

Does the RFID Anywhere installation on that machine work correctly? (ie: can
you run any of the samples, etc.). That may point us to a bad .NET install
if it exists.

You may want to try reinstalling the VSExt, and possibly the .NET
components.

Does the sample Inventory Tracker business module show the RFID Anywhere
menu?
