Can I use this connectionstring for open a ADV database from VFP?

dirCliente = "C:\invcartsql\datos"
connectionString = "Provider=Advantage OLE DB Provider;"+;
"Data Source="+dirCliente+";"+;
"ServerType=ADS_LOCAL_SERVER;"+;
"TableType=ADS_CDX;"
"DATABASE=paswin;"+;
"UID=hgonzalez;"+;
"PWD=016053"
lcCnx=createobject("ADODB.Connection")
lcCnx.ConnectionString = connectionString
lRet = lcCnx.open()

Where PASWIN is my database ADD
UID is the User
PWD is the Password

Thank's a Lot!!

Hugo

Hi Hugo,

You need to include your data dictionary in the Data Source.

Hello Hugo,

You don't need the DATABASE parameter in the connection string below.  You can find all the valid parameters here, http://devzone.advantagedatabase.com/dz/webhelp/Advantage8.1/mergedProjects/adsoledb/adsoledb/connection_string_parameters_(advantage_ole_db_provider).htm.

Best Regards
