I am trying to create a Web Service that will deliver data
from an SQL AnyWhere database. The connection fails with
the message
"Unable to start specified database: Permission denied"
on the Open().
This is the connection string I am using:

iAnywhere.Data.SQLAnywhere.SADataAdapter saDataAdapter;
saDataAdapter = new
iAnywhere.Data.SQLAnywhere.SADataAdapter("SELECT [lname],
[fname], [dob], [strret_num], [street_name], [ss_num],
[zip_seq], [city_name], [st_code], [boro_name], [gen_desc],
[vetern_status], [disability_status], [geo_code] FROM
[DBA].[vw_pdsBasic]", saConnection);
which came from the iAnyWhere Explorer connecting to a view

Can anyone help me with this problem. Thanks in advance
Walter

You have not provided a connection string. Can you please post that
information. Additionally, it appears that you are using the SQL
Anywhere .NET driver so likely you are using the ODBC solely as an
source for connection parameters.If that is the case, can you indicate
whether the DSN is SYSTEM or USER and what settings are defined.

con connection string. Anyway, here it is:

@"UserID=""dba"";Password=""sql"";DatabaseFile=""C:\Program

Can you please indicate the syntax for adding System or user
