I've just installed WS v1.6, and reading thru the Tutorial
documentation find that instructions to ignore all
references to EA Server 5.3, that WS 1.6 only installs with
Tomcat (UA). While trying to confiugure the WS App Server -
there is no App Server available to run as the list is
blank.

Is there new documentation somewhere on how to address this
- point it to Tomcat?

Help appreciated

Jim,

I apologize for the confusion. Would you please give me the manual and page
number on which you saw this.

The only time you need igonre EAServer is when refering to UA. Only the
tomcat verson of UA is discussed in the tutorial.

In terms of the SybStore sample, all deployment (other than UA) would/should
be done to EAServer.

In terms of the SybStore web app sample, you have your choice of deploying
to EAServer or tomcat. Both EAServer and Tomcat are availabe on the
Develoment Edition Servers install.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

thanks,
mike
