Dear All,

I'm using PB10, in the development environment, we can float and dock a
tabpage. I would like to add this features in my application too. Did
anybody how to do it?

Please give me some hints for that.

Many Thanks,
Dennis

We solved this using a dynamic solution on a tab control where the tabpage
(userobject) is intially created on the tab, then when floated, the
tabpage is destroyed, a window (popup) is opened and a new instance of the
userobject is created on the window. When the window is docked again, the
window is closed (the userobject destroyed), and created on the tab again.

The drawback is clearly that each time you dock/float the userobject has
to be re-intialized, and put in the accurate same state as before.

We did put all this functionallity into three objects:
1. A tab control (inherited) that handles all the creating, floating and
docking of the userobjects
- This control is placed on the window/control where you wan't the
float/dock tabpage functionallity.
2. A userobject, with events for initializing, reseting, and update (of
content)
- Any tabpage that should be dockable inherits from this one.
3. A window, that the userobject can reside on when floated.

Hopefully you can work the rest out from this.

Regards
André
