One of these sql scripts are causing an error during dbinit?
What does these do and what will happen if I delete them:?

upgral50.sql
upgrin60.sql
upgral60.sql
mksadb60.sql
upgrad50.sql
jcatalog.sql
oleschem.sql
upgrad60.sql

What is the exact text of the error message that you are getting?

When you re-run dbinit, drop the -q switch so that it will be able to
display the error messages for you.

By the way, we highly recommend 4k pages.

Not very often 8k pages, but you can only know by running full
application tests to determine if the size is useful to you.

Just wondering how you decided on an 8k page.

This may have occurred if your script directory was not updated.
Answering Mark's question is important to help here.
