Hi All,

I am using PB 10.5.1 (build 6602). In my Richtext control
window, i am entering a huge text. For reporting purpose i
need
to parse the string into multiple lines and insert this
multiple lines into detail table (this is because if i use
the huge RTF stored data this data overlapped the heading of
the report inspite of setting the autosize height). The
report is a nested report and one of the subreport is this
parsed detail report.

There is two process done here
1. Insert the plain text entered in the richtext control
into multiple lines, done by a procedure (only plain text of
4KB data is passed to the Procedure) - Detail table insert.
2. If the first proc which inserts multiple rows into the
table succeeds, then do an update blob on the master table -
Master table update.

So the psudo code goes like this..
If li_ret = Ins_multixx(plain_text of not more than 4 kb)
= 1 Then
Update xxx_table
Set blob_column = :lbl_blob
Where xxx = yyy using xx_trans;
End If

Very imp: Now the entire routine works fine on the Windows
Environment, but does not insert the records in the detail
table in the Citrix Environment.

What settings need i check in the Citrix. Does any one have
any suggestion?

What are you using for your database driver on the citrix?
Is it different than than your development environment?
Before we upgraded our Sybase DB drivers (now 12) a while
back there was a limit on the size we could send per column.
Same thing applies to some odbc drivers.

Citrix, bane of civilization, might as well be a web
program.
