A Client of ours is using Advantage 8.10.0.2 Server. Their opertaing system
is Windows 2003 Small Business Server. When the computer reboots, the ADS
service fails to start, and logs the following message to the event log :-

'A fatal Advantage Database Server error occurred. Fatal error code is
3221225477. Advantage Service will be stopped immediately.'

Although this message stops (or fails to start) ADS, it is possible to
manually start the service once the computer completes its bootstrap
sequence.

Has anyone got any ideas ???

Thank,
Rob

I've written an AdsStarter which bypasses the issue. You can download
it from http://ads.extendsys.de/wiki/files/outgoing/adsstarter.zip.

Tried to download it again, and the same thing happened. Right clicked on
the link as selected 'Save As', I was then prompted to save the target as
'adsstarter.gif'. Any Ideas ?, Could you email the file to me at
rnh63@eircom.net

Thanks for your help.

Robert.
