When I initiate a connection the device doesn't get past 'initializing
sync' - just hangs there. It does sync wth the server clock. I've let it go
up to 45 minutes to see if it would eventually go. This step generates a
non-specific error in the server log. If I cancel this step the other
processes run and the client indicates the operation was completed
sucessfully. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hello,
There are a couple of pieces of information that are
necessary to help.

Have you enabled Single Sign On?
Are you connecting to Exchange or Domino?

Based on your response it appears that the synchronization
is hung when it gets to the Groupware Sync Action (in other
words when the OneBridge Sync Server actually attempts to
use the Notes or Exchange APIs to access this users mail
file on the server). I would recommend that you open the
OneBridge Administrator and your configuration file. In the
bottom right hand section of the left pane, find Groupware
Adapters > Lotus Notes or Microsoft Exchange > double click
and then you should see a test button. Enter your username
and password and this will simulate a device connection (at
least the authentication part) to the back end mail server.
If you are a Notes customer make sure that the ID file used
in your Notes Adapter Settings has 'Manager' access to
user's mail files on the Domino Server.

Regards,
Matt
