Hello,

running into a.m. problem when trying to access files from an old
application. (found 980505-0016 in the knowledge base)

True the index expression in the CDX-file is not recognized by ADS.

Is there any way to nevertheless just READ from the file through VB/.NET) ?
(just sequentially would be ok - I don't require the index)

Unfortunately I can't just delete the index as the old app is still running.

tks for help
Clemens

Hi,

There currently is not a way to do this. Although, if the table does not
have a memo file, I think you might be able to open it with the ADS_NTX
table type. If you did that, it would not try to open the structural .CDX
file. And as long as you did not make updates, it should be safe.
Otherwise, it is probably necessary to make a copy of the table.
