We iSeries to run our backend systems and run Sybase for
specific apps for our manufacturing environment. I am
trying to access the Sybase database from the iSeries,
having some issues. Can anyone help?

Probably but you're going to have to give us a whole lot more information

What version of SQL Anywhere?
How are you trying to connect (connection string, API being used, etc)
How is your server started, what platform,
What do the communications trace logs show (-z on the server, log= on the
client)

I am using SQL Anywhere 9.
To connect I am using interactive SQL on the iSeries (OS/400
v5r3m0) and issuing the "connect to" command.

IBM uses DDM over IP.

I will try to generate a log to see what I can see.
