We have a vendor product which uses ASA 6.0 as its database.
However, the vendor does not provide any database
management support documentation. It there a manual or any
other documentation outlining regular database management
activities?

Thank you in advance.

There was, but ASA 6.0 was 'end of lifed' in 2001
http://www.ianywhere.com/developer/eol/sqlany_5x_6x.html

You could refer to the Version 9 documentation online
if that would help; which is available at

http://www.ianywhere.com/developer/product_manuals/sqlanywhere/index.html

From that page you have access to the version 9.0.1 and 9.0.2 docs.
If you click on the last link on that page you can also get the 8.0.x
docs as well but nothing older than that is kept online these days.

As Nick says, version 6 has not been supported for a while and most
resources are no longer available.
If you have some general questions about management, the more recent docs
will probably help, and you can post your questions here.
Probably the most important thing to know is that you can most easily backup
the database file by stopping the server and simply copying the database
file (usually the file with the .db extension) to a backup directory.

Don't forget to backup your log files (*.log), if you have some of those
too. :-)
