John,
I have been unable to find how to kick off session manager
events from the server. I have used Remoteware in the past.
Need a hint. Thanks.

Ken,

Do you mean - execute a session manager channel on the Afaria server
itself? Similar to a RemoteWare Process Only Session?

Each Afaria sever has an Afaria client installed by default. You can
run server side sessions by creating channels, giving them a schedule
and assigning them to the Server client to run. The shortcut to the
server client can be found in the Start-Programs-Afaria Channel Viewer.

Hi John,

No, I used to kick off polling sessions to client stores
manually from the RWS server. I forget what the module name
was, but we could initiate sessions to push files to the
clients. It looks to me like Afaria can only send an
Outbound Notification to the client and the client then has
to connect to perform Sends and Gets, correct?
In other words, the Client is responsible for connections,
not the server? I have a client schedule for say 2 PM at the
server, and it is also seen at the client. However, my
client did not perform a scheduled session. Nor did the
server at 2 PM. When I clicked on the Connect button on the
client, the session performed properly, moving files both
ways.
Thanks for your time John.
