Hi,

One way of doing it is to set up a remote view and then open it with "use
remoteviewname". In VFP, you can create a remote view in the project
manager under the data tab (among other ways). Depending on what you are
doing, you can either use a connection string or create a data source and
use that. It is probably the simplest to set up a data source and then just
reference the DSN.

Once you add the desired table in the View Designer, you can specify which
fields are to be included and also which fields to use for updating (under
the Update Criteria tab). Be sure to click the "Send SQL updates" checkbox
in the tab if you want updates made to the view to be sent back to the
server. Once the remote view is set up, you can generally use it the same as
a table that was directly opened.
