Hi,

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking for. Are you wondering how to
call the Advantage Client Engine API?

Hi,

We have yet not generated the Advantage Client Engine (ACE) API declarations
(prototypes) for FoxPro. If there is demand for it, we will probably make
that available. We currently have versions of it in a few formats (e.g.,
C/C++, C#, Delphi). In the short term, it would be possible to use the
definitions in ace.h as a starting point. If you do not already have a copy
of ace.h on your system from the existing installs, you can run the
"Advantage Client Engine" install, which will have that file. It has all of
the published prototypes and constants for C/C++. For example, the C
prototypes and corresponding FoxPro declarations for three of the functions
follow.

For direct navigational access, the Advantage Client Engine is currently the
necessary method, although it does take quite a bit more programming
especially if someone is planning on using it for populating and managing a
graphical user interface. The ACE API is very powerful and provides direct
access to all Advantage functionality.
