Hello together,

Could somebody explain a little bit more about how CorpDir
for the iPhone work... I did ready the admin guide on page
14. But I am wondering where I have to enable this IIS
Service? On the OBMG Server, on the DMZ-Proxy Server or on a
dedicate Server?

If the service can be installed on a dedicate server, where
are the settings to make the specific lookup to corpdir?

Sorry, it looks for me a little bit unclear how CorpDir
works...I miss some configuration possibilities.

bye Melkon

Hello Melkon,

sorry if the information we provided is not defined enough.
Let my try to explain, how it works.

On either the OneBridge Sync Server or the OneBridge DMZ
Proxy, you will find a new directory created.
..\OneBridge Sync Server\OneBridge Corporate
Directory\iPhoneCorpDir\

The files contained in this directory are an ASP.NET
Webapplication. The application is configured through the
file web.config also contained in that directory.

By default, you do not have to change any of the values
though.
The application will automatically read the information for
the OneBridge Sync Server from the httpconfig.xml file
located in the Bin directory on the same physical box.

If you do want to install the ASP.NET Webpage on a dedicated
system, you want to configure the destination OneBridge
Server/DMZ Proxy in that file.

As outlined in the Administration manual you can download
here, http://www.sybase.com/iphone_adminguide you have to
configure the IIS Services to enable the ASP.NET Webpage to
be accessible. You also want to enable SSL to protect your
data.

The ASP.NET Application (iPhoneCorpDir) that runs inside of
your IIS Server, will act as a client to your existing
Corporate Directory environment. It basically replaces the
need for an application on the device itself, everything
else is the same as before in regards to your Corporate
Directory/Adapter environment.

Thanks, regards,

Johannes
