Hi,

I am trying to recreate a stored procedure in a database
since I changed the underlying table. I choose the proc from
Enterprise Explorer with right mouseclick and clicking
'Edit...'
Editor window opens (the one with the small database symbol
in the above left corner). With right clicking on proc text
I receive the context menu but there is no possibility to
drop and recreate the procedure as far as I see.

I can only save procedure to a file with 'Save as...' where
another editor window opens (the one with the scrapbook icon
in the above left corner). Here I can choose 'Execute
all...' indeed, but I receive the message, that proc already
is created ...., so I need to drop the proc outside
Workspace (SQL Advantage) and create it again within
Workspace. This seems very circular to me.

Am I doing something wrong? What is the "normal" way to
recreate a stored procedure within Workspace?

I am using
Version: 2.0.0
Build id: 20070807185618

Thanks and best regards

Hi, Andreas:

When you use procedure schema editor to edit your ASE stored procedure and
execute context menu 'Save to Server' , WorkSpace will drop and recreate
this stored procedure internally. So you don't need to drop and recreate it
outside WorkSpace.
And if you just want to drop a stored procedure, you can select a stored
procedure in Enterprise Explorer view and click 'Drop' from context menu.

Thanks and regards,

Daniel Huang
